It’s been an exciting few months at Pier as the team have been busy redesigning and refreshing the website for chilled ready meal range, The City Kitchen. Exclusive to Tesco, The City Kitchen is a range of delicious ready meals inspired by international cuisines including Japan, Malaysian and Italian.

In-keeping with The City Kitchen’s vibrant personality, Pier used bright colours and ‘off the beaten track’ pictures of the destinations that inspired The City Kitchen meals. We commissioned new food lifestyle photography to bring the meals to life using exciting textures and accessories, and added new features such as ‘Chatter’, which we regularly update with travel features and special offers. To compliment the fully responsive website re-launch, Pier also created a new e-newsletter for loyal fans of The City Kitchen, with news and offers from the brand.

This year Pier has also run an on-pack competition for The City Kitchen, giving away three holidays to Thailand for two, each worth £6,000, the biggest ever competition by the brand.

In addition, Pier leads on the strategy and content on The City Kitchen’s popular social media channels, driving engagement with the brand’s time poor audience, and running regular PR campaigns.
